The landscape consists of rolling hills covered in trees or exposed rock, and dotted with numerous lakes and ponds.
Single Wild Rose.
(More about roses below.)
Field of Foxtails
Foxtails, while beautiful, are actually a deadly hazard to dogs.  If a dog ingests them, the dogs insides are damaged by the tiny barbs at the tip of each piece of fluff.
Watering holes like this one are common throughout the Territory.
Wild roses are not only beautiful, but extremely benificial.  They grow rosehips which provide a much needed source of vitamin c and other nutrients.  Rosehips are also used in many types of herbal tea.
Wild roses grow very well in dry rocky ground and can be found just about anywhere you look.
These purple flowers (we call them fireweed) grow well in sandy soil and are also very common.
While most consider them weeds, we feel they are a nice addition to any landscape.
Bogs and marshes act as natural filters, giving us clean, clear water.
